Created in late 2024, the “Submitted For Your Approval” playlist has been featuring music sent to us directly via social media and email submission, showcasing the untapped and ever-growing community of the true independent musician. WHAT IS THE POWERBEAT EDITION?

What is the PowerBeat Edition? Well, among the various type of genres we feature, the few genres that we hardly feature is Rap, Hip Hop, and R&B. Why not? Nothing against them, it’s just genres I am not too familiar with, especially with the current versions of those genres. I tend to listen more of the 80’s and 90’s version of the genres. Funny enough, current hip hop and rap music is what is the most submitted type of music that we receive when we ask for music submissions, so it was only a matter a time that we make a Rap, Hip hop, and R&B playlist.

Why “PowerBeat”? I just basically took the name of two prominent Hip Hop stations here in Los Angeles and combined them both together… Power 106 & 92.3 The Beat. Not too much thought went into it, but that’s how we got here.

In this edition of the Submitted For Your Approval playlist, all the music featured is by NEW TO EYP artists such as….
