Save Ferris is a legendary ska-punk band from Orange County, California, fronted by the powerhouse vocalist Monique Powell. They first burst onto the scene in the mid-’90s with their high-energy blend of ska, punk, and pop, and became widely known for their exuberant cover of “Come On Eileen” and their debut album It Means Everything.
Formed in 1995, they quickly gained traction through underground shows and radio play on LA’s KROQ. They were signed to Epic Records after winning a Grammy showcase for best unsigned band. After a hiatus, Powell revived the band in 2013 with a new lineup and renewed energy.
Released on June 10, 2025, “Ooh Ooh Rudi“ is Save Ferris’ latest ska anthem. It’s a punchy, brass-filled tribute to ska’s roots and rebellious spirit, with Powell’s vocals leading the charge. The track is available on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music.
