Plug in or pair up your favorite headphones and join us as we remember the days when record stores were common, and they all had displays, booths, and/or counters where you can sample new music called, The Listening Stations. They also had communal headphones that we shiny and oily from the constant use of others. This is our version of those stations, but in playlist form, and minus the used headphones. We start off the month with 10-songs, with 30 more coming later in the month.

After showcasing some of her songs in 2024, she’s back with even more powerful tracks like “Altar,” which will appear later in part two of this playlist, and “Let You Down,” a musical declaration of her determination to show her friends and family that she’s destined to achieve her musical dreams.

They have been constant supporters of EYP and we welcome them back to our playlists with their latest single, “Feels Right”.
NONĒ SUNSHINE
“Stay Gold”
@thenonesunshine – nonesunshine.com
NEW TO EYP
While randomly previewing songs one day, the track “Stay Gold” immediately caught my attention with its captivating melody and a simple yet powerful chorus belting out “Stay Gold.” I instantly knew I had to share it with you all. This is NONĒ SUNSHINE.
NONĒ SUNSHINE is an alternative rock band rooted in Denver, Colorado, and Tucson, Arizona, led by longtime collaborators Derek Hyde and Thomas Scott (TS) Laird. Their music blends a moody, melodic fusion of modern alt-rock with a nostalgic ’90s vibe.

Returning to our playlists is Marseille with “Heaven’s At My Door.” Formed in 2021 in Derby, UK, they are a modern indie throwback band blending ’90s Madchester, ’60s Merseybeat, and psychedelia with contemporary indie sounds. This unique mix makes them feel both fresh and established, capturing the essence of the modern rock alternative scene of years past.

@between_daze – linktr.ee/between_daze
PREVIOUSLY FEATURED SONGS
“I Might” (2024)
Another big EYP supporter in recent times, which we are extremely appreciative for, is the Maryland based Alternative Rock band Between Daze. They return to our playlists with their latest single “Call Out”. They debut with us last year with their single “I Might”.
NoSo
“Sugar”
@nosomusic – linktr.ee/nosomusic
NEW TO EYP
“Sugar” is another song I randomly came across and instantly liked from artist NoSo. NoSo is the stage name of Baek Hwong, a Korean-American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer known for crafting introspective indie-pop that blends dreamy guitar work with deeply personal storytelling. “NoSo” is short for North/South, referencing their Korean heritage and the common question Korean Americans face: “Which Korea are you from?”
Lead single “Sugar” channels ‘80s New Wave vibes with synths and marimba, offering a groovy yet introspective sound. Their sophomore album, “When Are You Leaving?”, is set to release on October 10, 2025. It’s described as more grounded in reality, tackling volatile relationships and emotional growth head-on.

It isn’t a true EYP playlist without music from Freedom Fry. We’ve been featuring their songs and following their musical and personal journey since 2016, showcasing 33 of their tracks during that time. There’s no sign of slowing down, as this playlist includes even more of their music with the release of their latest album “Best Friends,” now available. As you can see above, we’ve highlighted a lot of their music. In this playlist, we’re featuring more songs from their album, such as the title track “Best Friends” (coming in part three) and this track “A Farewell.”
Freedom Fry is a French-American indie pop duo consisting of Marie Seyrat (from Paris) and Bruce Driscoll (from Michigan). Their name playfully nods to the political term from the early 2000s, but their music is anything but polarizing—think light, melodic, and irresistibly catchy. Known for Seyrat’s soft, whispery vocals and Driscoll’s multi-instrumental production, the duo formed in Los Angeles in 2011 after Seyrat styled a video for Driscoll’s other band, Blondfire. Their sound mixes folk, ‘60s/’70s pop, and modern indie rock, often featuring bilingual lyrics in English and French. They are one of our ultimate Staple Artists, with their music being an essential part of our yearly lineup and the foundation of what we play here on Expand Your Playlist.
