The Listening Station is our flagship playlist, going strong since the launch of Expand Your Playlist in 2015. We’ve recently reorganized and recategorized it, expanding the library to make this staple collection even better. It’s packed with new and independent music across a wide range of genres, offering something fresh for every listener.
What’s “The Listening Station?”
It’s basically our version of the 90s and 2000s era, when music stores were everywhere and had kiosks and special “Listening Stations” where you could preview and discover new music before buying it. This is essentially the same idea in playlist form—just without the greasy public headphones.
The Listening Station mainly features Indie Pop, Rock, Folk, and Alternative genres. Playlists like “No Paper. No Scissors,” “Mood Muzik,” and “Eclectic Electric” each have their own dedicated pages. Use the menu above to find them.
