“XXXHIBITIONIST”
@deathbyromy
deathbyromy.com
DeathbyRomy, also known as Romy Flores, is an American singer who mixes dark pop, industrial rock, alt‑pop, and emo‑tinged electronic sounds. Her music dives into themes like identity, mental struggles, desire, and the alluring danger of fame. She’s recognized for her powerful vocals, goth‑cinematic style, and intense, emotional performances.
“XXXHIBITIONIST” is one of her most bold, dramatic, and self‑mythologizing songs — a mix of dark‑pop glamour, industrial grit, and tales of Hollywood decay. It’s a defining piece of her HOLLYWOOD FOREVER era, where she fully embraces themes of fame, voyeurism, danger, and self‑destruction. This is her debut on EYP. There is more DeathbyRomy coming in future playlists. Stay tuned!

KAT VON D
“Illusion”
@thekatvond
katvond.com
Kat Von D’s evolution into a musician is one of the more striking artistic pivots of the last few years — a shift from tattoo icon and TV personality into a full‑fledged dark‑pop singer crafting dramatic, synth‑driven music with a strong emotional core. Her song “Illusion” is a centerpiece of that transformation, capturing both her aesthetic and her personal narrative. “Illusion” is one of the standout singles from the album “My Side of the Mountain“, released in July 2024. It’s a disco‑goth, synth‑pop track that blends melancholy with a shimmering, retro‑tinged groove. The album includes a lot of standout tracks that we will feature in future playlists.
Kat Von D (Katherine von Drachenberg) is best known for her work as a tattoo artist and for starring in LA Ink, but music has been part of her life since childhood. She was classically trained in piano from age six and grew up listening to punk bands like the Ramones and Misfits, influences that later shaped her darker, alternative musical style.

SKYDXDDY
“Pretty Distraction”
@skydxddymusic
skydxddy.com
SkyDxddy is an alt‑pop / trap‑rock artist whose work blends raw emotional storytelling with aggressive, cathartic production. She’s become one of the most recognizable voices in the emerging “traumacore” movement — a term she uses to describe music that confronts trauma, survival, and emotional reclamation with unfiltered honesty. Her rise accelerated with the release of her album “Trauma‑Core”, which she describes as a space for listeners who’ve lived through the worst moments of their lives and need something to “scream and cry to.”
“Pretty Distraction” is one of SkyDxddy’s most powerful and socially charged songs — a sharp, emotionally loaded alt‑pop track that confronts misogyny, predatory behavior, and the everyday dangers women face. It’s a defining example of her traumacore style: vulnerable, furious, and unfiltered. This is SkyDxddy’s debut on EYP, with more tracks to be futured in future playlists. Stay Tuned!

THE VELVETEERS
“On And On”
@thevelveteers
thevelveteers.com
The Velveteers’ “On and On” is a snarling, swagger‑heavy rock track from their 2024 album “A Million Knives“, showcasing the band’s signature blend of primal energy, dual‑drummer ferocity, and gritty, blues‑punk attitude. It’s one of their most anthemic songs — sharp, defiant, and built around a hook that loops like a mantra.
The Velveteers are a Boulder, Colorado rock trio led by Demi Demitro, known for her raw guitar tone and commanding vocals. Their signature setup includes two drummers playing simultaneously, giving their music a thunderous, tribal backbone. They’re signed to Easy Eye Sound, the label run by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, who also produced their earlier work.

THE PILL
“Money Mullet”
@thepillband
thepillband.com
The Pill, made up of Lily Hutchings (vocals/guitar) and Lottie Massey (vocals/bass), are a rising punk/alt‑rock duo from the Isle of Wight, now based in the UK, known for their chaotic energy, sharp humor, and self‑described “jank punk” style — a mash‑up of scrappy riffs, bratty attitude, and tongue‑in‑cheek social commentary. They’ve quickly become one of the most talked‑about new UK bands, landing festival slots, BBC radio play, and building a growing cult following. In January 2026, Lily decided to step away from the band as the rapid rise and pressures became overwhelming, leading to burnout. In the meantime, Lottie will continue making music, and The Pill — along with future projects — will still have a home on Expand Your Playlist.
“Money Mullet” has been bouncing around in our personal playlists. The time was right to finally and officially feature the track!
