Listen and Discover.
Since 2015, “The Listening Station” playlists have gone by different names, but the theme and spirit have stayed the same. The name comes from the days when music stores were everywhere, offering “Listening Stations” — kiosks or cozy spots where you could preview any CD before buying it or just explore new sounds. That’s exactly what these playlists aim to do: give you a chance to sample fresh music from up-and-coming artists, discover new sounds, and ultimately expand your own playlists. Just without the oily used public headphones.
We recently went back to the beginning and re-numbered and organized all the playlists in this series This brings us to the 146th edition of “The Listening Station” playlists.
In this edition, we give you new music for your listening pleasure by previously featured artists that we have grown to love and build our playlists around with artists & bands such as Talker, The Sherlocks, Brooksie, Internet Sasha, and Pearl Diver. We also have new and fairly new artists to EYP such as Nieve Ella, Brigitte Calls Me Baby, Kid Sistr, Lyn Lapid, and Ecca Vandal.
If you enjoy this and other genre playlist series we create, and you’re curious about the current indie music scene, plus you’re in a band and want to be featured, send us your music!
